The Global Sikh Trail is the brainchild of critically acclaimed author and journalist, Khushwant Singh, who has many years of experience of writing in this field. He is the author of several books including Sikhs Unlimited; Turbaned Tornado, the biography of oldest marathon runner, Fauja Singh; and a bestselling novel Maharaja in Denims. His most recent work, the authorized biography of the chief minister of Punjab, Captain Amarinder Singh, titled The People’s Maharaja has been extremely well received.
Khushwant Singh’s column, ‘Punjabi by Nature’ in the Chandigarh edition of the Hindustan Times (Chandigarh), has a cult-like following, and earned him the title of ‘a chronicler of stories of contemporary Punjab’. Singh is also the former consulting editor, Day and Night television and hosted the much-viewed interview show, Fair and Square. He lives in Chandigarh with his family.
